It is a double curvature vault with dimensions in plan of 27 x 37 m and a maximum rise of 3.7 m built in the ’60s in reinforced masonry with a very thin upper concrete slab for a total thickness of 20 cm.
Because of the absence of insulation to the extrados, over the course of time there have been many damaging due to thermal variations with breakage of the masonry elements in various areas.
Therefore, the structure has been strengthened whit a thin concrete slab whit fiber and steel bars reinforcement at the intrados while on the extrados was applied an insulating layer to reduce the effects of temperature variations on the structure.
